Following Next Steps Week and Careers week, we are focusing on inspiration. Inspiration for the future, and inspiration for success.
This eTutorial will be released on Tuesday 15th March 2022.
From Monday 14 March, our messaging will move from the mandatory requirement for face coverings to be worn when moving around communal areas of campuses, to face covering being optional.
We will continue to;
Provide face coverings for those wishing to wear one
Monitor and record staff and learner infection rates
Provide an enhanced cleaning schedule
Provide hand sanitiser in communal spaces
Use signage on screens to remind everyone about staying safe
Provide lateral flow tests whilst stocks last (we will no longer be able to order these)
Have you had your say in our Campus Safety Survey?

Young Carers Action Day- 16/03/2022
What is Young Carers Action Day?
Young Carers Action Day is an annual event, organised each year by Carers Trust.
It’s a day for raising public awareness of young carers and young adult carers, the pressures and challenges they face, and the incredible contribution they make by caring for their family members and friends.
It is also a day to call for more action to support young and young adult carers and give them the extra bit of help they need to live full and healthy lives.
The day attracts widespread participation and public attention. Each year Carers Trust secures widespread coverage of the day in both national and regional TV, radio and print media.
Young Carers Action Day 2022 – Taking Action on Isolation
Before deciding what the theme would be for Young Carers Action Day 2022, Carers.org spoke to young carers and young adult carers to ask them what they thought.
And they were very clear. They said they wanted this year’s Young Carers Action Day to be all about securing action to help address the isolation they experience as young and young adult carers.
They highlighted how having the right support in place – such as regular short breaks from caring – can be really beneficial, giving them a better chance of succeeding in all parts of their lives.
Carers.org also want to celebrate all the good practice taking place to provide access to support and services that helps prevent isolation among young and young adult carers.
Meet Bridgend Carers, and see how they can support you!
Join Bridgend Carers on 16th March at Bridgend Campus Refectory and PEncoed Campus Steam Academy between 11am and 2pm.
