Black History Month
To celebrate Black History Month UK, BBC Radio 1Xtra has launched the inaugural 1Xtra Future Figures – an annual list which names 29 notable individuals, groups and organisations from across the UK, who are ‘Making Black History Now.’
1Xtra Future Figures features movement makers from the world of sport, STEM gaming, the arts and social action, celebrating and championing those who have made an impact within the Black community (and beyond), that will leave a legacy for years to come.
Listen throughout October as 1Xtra salutes a new Future Figure every day.

Do you have what do you need for college?
Do you have something someone else might need?
We all know that we need to reduce, reuse and recycle, and that is what The HIve is all about.
The Hive is where you can bring things you no longer need and collect things you do need.
You will be saving money (it’s free!) and helping us all be more environmentally friendly.
The Learner Induction Survey will open on Monday 11th and close on Friday 22nd October 2021.
All new full-time FE students and substantive part-time FE students (5 hrs+ per week) should complete the survey.
You will receive your survey link from your personal tutors.

Coronavirus Testing (Lateral Flow Devices)
To support our ongoing efforts of keeping our campuses a ‘Covid Safe’ place to work and learn, we ask that you utilise our Lateral Flow Devices (LFD’s) and continue to use these throughout our first term. Welsh Government recommends twice-weekly testing, which we also fully support and encourage.
If you require any testing kits, these can be picked up from reception areas at our Cowbridge Road, Queens Road and Pencoed Campuses. Testing kits can also be collected, free of charge, from local community pharmacies.
Standing up → Wear a face covering
Sitting down → You can remove your face covering (if you want to)
